 About Us

The Chico Rancheria Housing Corporation is the Tribally Designated Housing Entity and Community Based Development Organization of the Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria, California.

Organizational Format

The Corporation was chartered under the Tribe’s first enacted law (Ordinance One) in December of 1993, as a non-profit Corporation “…to further community development activities for the benefit of tribal members, with a primary focus on the housing objectives of the Chico Mechoopda Indian Tribe of the Chico Rancheria.”

The Board of Directors are elected by the Tribal Council and are granted the authority necessary to carry out the functions for the Corporation in accordance with its purposes, attributes, powers, and duties established by the Charter (Tribal Ordinance One).
